Coaching Is a Partnership
To be a successful partnership there has to be mutual trust and respect. Because of the importance of these factors, we spend time assessing if this partnership is compatible prior to working together. When we do begin our work together, I listen to what you really want in your life; what is said and what is not said. I look to understand how your life will be different and what it will look like once our work is completed. Out of this process, we co-create a set of outcomes and success indicators to be used as a roadmap for action. This “map” ensures over time that we are producing your desired results.
We start by looking at how your history has shaped your thinking, the language you use, how you view the world and the actions you can take. We look at how all of this limits and supports you in your pursuits, and then we develop new practices and ways of being that will get you what you want.
We meet weekly for a determined period of time in person. In our meetings we will:
- develop your awareness of your automatic ways of being in thought and action
- assess if these ways of being are helping or hindering you from achieving the results you want
- introduce new practices and skills that will provide you more choice in ways that you can be in the world
There will be reading, reflecting, or somatic practices given as homework between meetings. The homework and practices will support you in obtaining what you want.
